M1083 FMTV Cargo Truck – 28mm Modern

Every convoy needs more than armored vehicles.

The M1083 FMTV (Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles) is the backbone of modern military logistics — the truck that keeps everything moving. Fuel, ammunition, supplies, troops… if it needs to get from one place to another, chances are it’s riding in the back of an FMTV.

This 5-ton cargo truck has been a common sight in US and allied motor pools since the 1990s, serving everywhere from stateside training grounds to combat zones across the Middle East.

On the tabletop, it brings something every modern scenario needs: a reason for the fight to happen.

What It Brings to Your Games

The M1083 isn’t built for the front line — which is exactly why it creates great scenarios.

Use it for:

🚚 Supply convoy missions – Escort cargo trucks through dangerous territory while insurgents wait for the right moment to strike.

🏜️ Logistics runs across open terrain – Long desert roads where the convoy stretches across half the table.

💥 Ambush scenarios – A lightly protected supply vehicle becomes the prime target.

🪖 Troop transport – Move infantry squads into the fight or redeploy them across the battlefield.

🎯 Objective-driven games – Destroy it, capture it, or get it safely off the board.

Trucks like the M1083 are often the centerpiece of convoy missions, giving both sides something important to protect — or destroy.
